Data Management Made Simple with Tableau Exports
In Tableau, you can export your dashboards and reports in a variety of formats to share with others or to use in other applications. Here are some common formats that you can use to export your Tableau dashboards:
- PDF: You can export your dashboards as a PDF file, which is a common format for sharing documents. PDF files can be opened on most devices and are useful for sharing dashboards that need to be printed or viewed offline.
- Image: You can export your dashboards as an image file, such as a JPEG or PNG. Image files are useful for sharing dashboards on social media or for embedding in presentations or documents.
- PowerPoint: You can export your dashboards as a PowerPoint file, which is a common format for presentations. This can be useful for sharing dashboards with others who need to present the data.
- Data: You can export the data behind your dashboards as a CSV or Excel file. This can be useful for sharing the data with others who need to analyze the data in more detail or for using the data in other applications.
- Crosstab: Allows you to export a table of your data in tabular format.
- Workbook: Allows you to export the entire workbook containing multiple sheets and dashboards.
- Tableau Packaged Workbook: Allows you to bundle your workbook, data sources, and any related files into a single file for easy sharing.
- Tableau Server or Tableau Online: Allows you to publish your workbook to Tableau Server or Tableau Online where it can be shared and accessed by others.
You can find these options in the “Server” menu or the “Share” button on the top right corner of your visualization.
It’s important to note that some export options may not be available depending on the type of data source or the license you are using.
To export your dashboards in Tableau, click on the “File” menu and select “Export.” From here, you can choose the format you want to export your dashboard in and specify any additional options, such as the resolution or file name.
