Get Your Data Party Started with Power BI Administrator Portal’s Fun
The Power BI Administrator portal is a web-based tool that allows administrators to manage and monitor the Power BI deployment within their organization. As an administrator, you can use the portal to perform tasks such as:
- Manage user access: Add or remove users from the Power BI service, assign licenses, and manage user permissions.
- Monitor usage: Monitor the usage and adoption of Power BI within your organization, including the number of active users, the number of reports and dashboards being shared, and the amount of data being used.
- Manage data sources: Set up and manage data sources for use with Power BI, including data gateway installations and data source authentication.
- Monitor service health: Monitor the health and performance of the Power BI service, including any service disruptions or outages.
To access the Power BI Administrator portal, you must have a Power BI Pro license and be assigned the “Global administrator” or “Power BI Service Administrator” role in Azure Active Directory.
To access the Power BI Administrator portal:
- Go to https://admin.powerbi.com.
- Sign in with your Power BI Pro account.
- Navigate to the desired section of the portal using the menu on the left.
To access the Power BI Administrator Portal, an administrator must have a Power BI Pro or Power BI Premium license and be a global administrator for their organization’s Azure Active Directory tenant. Once logged in, administrators can navigate to the Power BI Administrator Portal by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner of the Power BI service and selecting “Admin portal”
Please note that the administrator portal may not be available in all Power BI plans and might be limited to certain features based on the plan.
