How Many Games are there in the World?

It is difficult to accurately determine the total number of games worldwide as there are many types of games, and new ones are constantly being created with every blink of an eye. However, it is safe to say that there are tens of thousands, even if not hundreds of thousands, of games in the world.

However, with a general point of view, we can say that games are mainly of two types –

• Indoor Games
• Outdoor games

Games can be classified into several categories, including board games, card games, video games, sports, and outdoor games. Within each category, there exists many sub-categories and variations.

For example, there are thousands of different board games, including classic games like Monopoly and Chess, as well as newer games like Catan and Pandemic. Similarly, there are thousands of different video games, including games for consoles, PC, and mobile devices, and games in a wide range of genres, such as action, adventure, puzzle, and strategy. There are also many outdoor games. Some famous ones being cricket, badminton, football, kabaddi etc.

In addition to these more traditional games, there are also many other types of games that are played informally or as part of cultural or social activities, such as party games, drinking games, and children’s games.

Playing games is a useful recreational activity. However, excess playing of games may cause tiredness, eye problems and increased lethargy.

Overall, it is clear that there are a vast number of games in the world, and the number is constantly growing as new games are created and existing games are modified into newer versions or adapted.
