Create Stunning Visualizations with Power BI Area Charts

An area chart is a graph that displays data as a series of interconnected areas, with the height of each area representing the quantity it represents. Area charts are often used to show trends over time or to compare the magnitude of different data series.

In Power BI, you can create an area chart by selecting the “Area” chart type in the Visualizations pane. To create an area chart, you will need at least one data series, or set of related data points, that you want to display. You can also use multiple data series in an area chart to compare different sets of data.

To make an area chart in Power BI, follow these steps.

1. Open Power BI and select the “Area” chart type in the Visualizations pane.
2. Drag and drop the data series you want to display onto the “Values” field in the Fields pane.
3. Use the “Axis” and “Legend” fields to specify the category axis and legend for your chart.
