QlikView Directory Service Connector(DSC)
QlikView Directory Service Connector (DSC) is a connector for the QlikView business intelligence platform that allows you to authenticate users and retrieve information about them from a directory service. A directory service is a database that stores information about users, groups, and other resources within an organization.
Using the DSC, you can configure QlikView to authenticate users against a directory service such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, or any other service that supports the LDAP protocol. This allows you to manage user access to QlikView applications and documents using the same tools you use to manage access to other resources within your organization.
The DSC is typically used in conjunction with QlikView’s security and authentication features, such as the AccessPoint and Section Access, to control access to QlikView applications and documents based on user and group membership. For example, you could use the DSC to authenticate users against an Active Directory service, and then use Section Access to control which documents and data each user has access to based on their Active Directory group membership.
Overall, the QlikView Directory Service Connector is a useful tool for managing user access and authentication within a QlikView environment, particularly in larger organizations where there may be a need to integrate with an existing directory service.
To correctly create a Directory Service Connector (DSC) cluster, adhere to the instructions listed below:
- Go to System > Setup in the QlikView Management Console (QMC) once it has been launched. Connector for Directory Services (DSC)
