Gain Deeper Insights with Dynamic Viewing Power BI Dashboard!
Power BI: A business analytics service provided by Microsoft that allows users to visualise and analyse data with a range of interactive dashboards, reports, and charts. To view a Power BI dashboard, you will need to have access to the dashboard either through an invitation or by logging in to your Power BI account.
To view a Power BI dashboard, follow these steps:
- Open the Power BI service and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Click on the Shared with me button on the left navigation pane.
- Select the dashboard which you want to view from the list of shared dashboards.
- Once the dashboard opens, you will be able to see the visualizations and data that have been shared with you.
- You can interact with the visualizations by clicking and dragging on them, or by using the filters and slicers on the right side of the screen.
- You can also change the layout of the dashboard by clicking on the ellipsis (…) button on the top-right corner of the dashboard and selecting the Layout option.
- If you have been granted the ability to edit the dashboard, you can also make changes to the data and visualizations.
- If you want to see the data behind a visualization, you can click on the ellipsis (…) button on the top-right corner of the visualization and select the See data option.
If you do not have the access to a Power BI dashboard, you will need to request access from the person who created the dashboard or the person who manages access to it.
You can also download the data to your local machine by clicking on the ellipsis (…) button on the top-right corner of the dashboard and selecting the Export data option.
If you have been given “Can view” access, you will only be able to view the dashboard and interact with the visualizations. If you have been given “Can edit” access, you will be able to make changes to the data and visualizations.
