How to Stop Motions During Pregnancy?

Pregnant women commonly experience symptoms like motion sickness, especially during the first trimester. But every problem has a solution. Here is a list of a few tips that may help reduce motion sickness during pregnancy:

1. Eat a light meal before travelling. Avoid junk foods or even homemade foods that are high in fat or spices, as these can make motion sickness worse.

2. Avoid reading or looking at a screen while travelling, as this can cause eye strain and headaches and worsen motion sickness.

3. Sit in such a position that makes you able to see the horizon. It can help reduce the sensation of motion.

4. Open a window or use the air vent to circulate fresh air. It can help reduce the feeling of stuffiness and nausea.

5. Take deep breaths and try to relax if you feel dizzy and clumsy.

6. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.

7. Always keep some potent yet good-smelling substances like oranges or gingers while travelling so you can smell them while feeling like vomiting.

8. If you feel suffocating, wash your face, especially your eyes, with plenty of cold water, as it can make you feel fresh and reduce tiredness caused by motion sickness.

If these measures do not help, you can ask your healthcare provider about over-the-counter medications or other treatments that may be safe to use during pregnancy. It is essential to always speak with your healthcare provider before taking any medications while pregnant, as medicines may sometimes have ill effects on your child.
