What is Network?

A network is an interconnection of  computers or other devices that can communicate with each other and share resources. A network can have two devices connected by a single cable or an extensive, complex system that spans multiple locations and connects thousands of devices.

Many types of networks include local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks. LANs are used to connect devices that are located in the exact physical location, such as within a single building or campus. WANs are used to connect devices that are located in different geographic areas, such as across different cities or countries. Finally, wireless networks use radio waves or infrared signals to transmit data between devices without needing physical cables.

Networks are used to allow devices to communicate with each other and to share resources, such as data, software applications, and hardware devices. They are an essential part of modern computing and are used in many settings, including homes, businesses, schools, and government agencies.

In simple words, the network means the combination of two or more articles with a wire or wireless connection. It helps to transfer the data and resources, which makes the work easier on a single platform.

The following are the networks’ key benefits:

1. Sharing the data

2. Utilizing the resources collectively

3. Central management of all the data

4.  Backup and storage of data

5. Can share resources

6. Simple administration of permissions and obligations.

The main example of network is wifi and all and we can share information through hard drive, printers etc.,
