What is SAP Dashboards?

SAP Dashboard is an SAP Business Objects Data Visualization Tool used to create interactive dashboards from different data sources. The dashboard allows developers to create custom dashboards from any data source to meet an organisation’s business requirements. In addition, you can export the dashboard to PDF, PPT, etc.

You may have a user-friendly visualisation of your business data with a dashboard. Additionally, it can combine several reports or data sources into one.

As it gathers all the necessary data and enables you to analyse trends and make comparisons, a consistent and organised dashboard is crucial to the decision-making process.

Please follow the instructions below to establish a dashboard:

  • Visit the Design Dashboards view in the Business Analytics work centre.
  • Press the New button.
  • Enter a Name.
  • Hit the OK button.
  • Choose the required report views from ‘All Reports’ in the right side.
  • Select a few reports, then drag & drop them into the available squares.
  • For each Report View, choose from the available Report Selections.
  • Click the Define Links option to establish connections between the Dashboards.
  • Choosing the source dashboard will allow you to connect.
  • Move the source dashboard to the destination dashboard by dragging it there.
  • Drag and drop the source field to the Define Connections section of the newly opened screen.
  • After that, drag and drop the target field to the Define Connections section from the left pane.
  • By dragging and dropping fields from the Attributes tab to the Filter 1, 2, 3 or 4 options, you can also construct global filters.
  • Choose the Save and Close option.
